Busy weekend

We had a very busy weekend, with lots of eating out. Friday night we went ot Pizza A-Go-Go with the Oberkroms. Will's cousin Jessie was staying with his parents, so it was really fun for Audrey to get to see her. And the pizza was very yummy! Saturday morning we woke up early and went to breakfast at Cracker Barrel. Audrey ate applesauce, grits, hashbrown casserole and more than half a pancake. After we finished stuffing our baby, we went to Cotton Babies so that I could pick up some diapers that I'm embellishing for a friend. I also found a used BG 3.0 in blue, a new Bummis cover and two seconds hemp doublers. We went home for Audrey's nap, but as soon as she got up, she and I went out with Aunt Sam and Aunt Jennie so Jennie could try on wedding dresses. We were there for hours, but Audrey was so good. She really liked looking at all the pretty dresses. Then to cap the evening, Will and Gary met up with us for Indian food. Audrey at a half a plate of Nan, lots of rice and some chicken tikka masala. She also ate a jar of turkey and veggies. What a little piggy! After all that fun and eating, we had a lazy Sunday at home. We cleaned the house, and I studied and worked on some diapers. Will went bowling with his friend, but Audrey and I went to bed early. It was a really busy weekend, but unfortunately, we didn't take any pics. Sorry!

Valentine's Day

We had a fun Valenine's day! I made cheesy chicken fondue casserole, and we lit the fire place. Will bought me some nice flowers and Audrey made her daddy a Valentine. Unfortunately, the evening ended with Audrey getting sick all over our bed. Poor girl, we think she has the stomach flu. Here are some pictures.

Taco Ring

Tonight I made the taco ring from the March Moms WFD blog. It didn't look as pretty as Kelly's but it tasted really good!

My new Mei Tai

This post is late. I've actually had this carrier for about a month now. It is a wonderful carrier. I got if from beanslingsandseats.com if anyone is interested. It's easy on my back and so well made. Tina, the woman who makes them, is really nice and I got great customer service. I highly recommend it!

My new hobby

I love cloth diapering. I know that sounds weird but it really is a passion of mine. This weekend I decided to get creative with it. This is what I've done so far. I'm also knitting wool soaker, but there is not enough progress to bother with a pic.

I've been bad

I haven't been updating this very often. Sorry everyone. I'll post a few to try and make up.

Audrey finally likes to jump!

Will bought Audrey a Johnny Jumper before Christmas. Even though she would try to bounce in her exersaucer, she hated the jumper. We tried again and she loved it!

Audrey got some new diapers today. They are Haute OS pockets. We'll have to see if we like them as well as Bumgenius.

Finished the first week

Well we made it through our first week back. It was busy and we're all tired tonight. Audrey's been a bit cranky. She seems to be missing Daddy a lot. She wouldn't go to sleep tonight until Will laid down with her. She normally puts herself to sleep. We have a busy weekend ahead of us with Will and I both needing to work. On a positive note, my grades from last semester are starting to come out. So far it's shaping up to be my best semester yet. Yeah!

Back to School

This week I started back to school. On Monday Audrey stayed home with Aunt Sam and Aunt Jackie. Today she went to daycare and had a ton of fun with all her friends. So far I'm keeping up with all my reading and daily chores. But it's only the second day . . .

Yum!

Last night Will went out with his friends, so after Audrey went to sleep I baked bread! I used Suze's recipe. It is so good. As you can see there is a piece missing :)

Tonight I made Amanda's Baked Ziti minus the sour cream. It was so good! Rave reviews all around.

Cotton Babies

Today Audrey and I took a drive to Cotton Babies, a cloth diapering store in South County. We got a new BG, a new Bummis diaper cover, 2 pairs of baby legs and a pair of Roobez. It was a fun afternoon!

New Years Resolution

I normally don't make resolutions. I can't remember ever making one before. But this year I needed to. Our lives were way too hectic leading up to Christmas with my finals and everything else. Our house was a mess and we were eating out way too much. We also got way too much for Christmas (well mostly just Audrey did).
So we are in desperate need of organization. We bought some bins and are going to buy some shelves. We started daily and weekly chore lists. We are going to be doing weekly meal planning. So far the daily chore list has been going really well. Will has been helping me every evening before we relax after dinner. The weekly chore list needs more work. Last week I was the only one who checked anything off. Hopefully with a little gentle proding Will and Andy will step up this week. By the way, Andy is my little brother and he lives with us. I've been cooking at home a lot too. Wish us luck!

I'm starting this blog so that all of our friends and family can keep up with us and watch Audrey grow. I'm also starting this blog so my pregnancy.org friends can stalk me. Stalk away girls! My name is Shannon. I'm 28 and a third year law student. My husband is Will. He's 31 and a plumber. We have been married since May, 2005. We have a beautiful 9 month old daughter named Audrey Jane. We lead a pretty busy life, but it's always fun! I have never blogged before, so we'll see how this goes.
